What Is the Unlimited Tech Task?

What Is a Tech Task?

A tech task is a small, focused action inside your HighLevel account that takes 10 minutes or less to complete. It's a single, narrowly defined request — something we can log in, do, and finish in one short session.

The Unlimited Tech Task benefit, included exclusively in the Intensive Plan, gives your agency on-demand access to our tech support team through a dedicated Slack workspace, so you can submit as many qualifying tech tasks as you need — with no monthly cap.

Every time you send a message in Slack with a task request, a ticket is automatically created and assigned to a member of our tech support team. That team member logs in, completes the task on your behalf, and reports back in Slack. Each ticket is routed to a different person on our team, so there's no bottleneck on a single individual.

How the Unlimited Tech Task Process Works

The workflow is designed to be fast, simple, and frictionless:

  1. You submit the task in Slack. Drop a message in your dedicated Slack channel describing what you need done.

  2. A ticket is automatically created. Each message you send generates a new ticket in our system.

  3. The ticket is assigned to a tech support team member. Every new ticket is routed to a different person on our team, so requests get picked up quickly.

  4. The task is completed on your behalf. Our team logs in to your HighLevel account, performs the task, and reports back in Slack when it's done.

You don't need to open a support portal, fill out a form, or wait for a scheduled call. If you can describe it in Slack, we can usually handle it.

Examples of Tech Tasks

Below are examples of qualifying tech tasks, organized by the area of HighLevel they touch. This is not an exhaustive list — if your request fits the 10-minute, single-action pattern, it qualifies.

Funnels & Websites

  • Updating a custom domain on an existing funnel

  • Connecting or reconnecting a domain in Settings → Domains

  • Republishing a funnel or website page after edits

  • Swapping out an image, logo, or favicon on a single page

Workflows & Automations

  • Changing a workflow trigger (for example, from "Form Submitted" to "Tag Added")

  • Publishing a workflow that is currently in draft mode

  • Pausing or activating a specific workflow

  • Updating the wait time on a delay step

Pipelines & Opportunities

  • Moving a contact from one pipeline stage to another

  • Renaming a pipeline stage

  • Adding a new stage to an existing pipeline

Contacts & Smart Lists

  • Adding or removing tags from a contact or small group of contacts

  • Updating a contact's custom field values

  • Merging duplicate contacts

  • Importing a small CSV of contacts and applying a tag on import

  • Creating a new smart list with specific filter criteria

Calendars

  • Adjusting calendar availability windows or working hours

  • Updating buffer times before or after meetings

  • Changing the meeting duration on a calendar

  • Updating the confirmation or reminder email/SMS on a calendar

  • Adding or removing a team member from a round-robin calendar

Email & SMS

  • Updating a single email template's subject line, sender, or body copy

  • Adjusting "From" name and reply-to address on a template

  • Verifying or reconnecting a sending domain (DKIM/SPF check)

  • Updating an email signature block

Memberships, Communities & Other Modules

  • Publishing or unpublishing a single course lesson

  • Updating the cover image, title, or description on a course

  • Granting or revoking a contact's access to a membership or community

  • Updating community post settings or moderator permissions

The defining characteristic of all of these is the same: clear scope, single action, completable in 10 minutes or less. No planning phase, no design work, no multi-piece build.

How to Get the Most Out of the Unlimited Tech Task

To keep things moving quickly and make sure your tasks are picked up and completed efficiently:

  • One task per Slack message. Each message becomes its own ticket, so submitting one task at a time keeps the queue clean and gives every request its own owner.

  • Be specific about the location. Tell us exactly where the change needs to happen — which sub-account, which funnel, which workflow, which pipeline, which contact. The less we have to hunt, the faster it gets done.

  • State the desired outcome clearly. "Change the trigger on Workflow X from Form Submitted to Tag Added: Lead" is easier and faster to action than "fix my workflow."

  • Group related changes only when they're truly one task. Updating three fields on the same email template = one task. Updating an email, a workflow, and a pipeline = three separate tasks, three separate tickets.

  • Lean on us often. This is a true unlimited benefit. The more tasks you delegate, the more time your team gets back to focus on selling and serving clients.

Which Plan Includes the Unlimited Tech Task?

The Unlimited Tech Task benefit is included exclusively in the Intensive Plan, along with other premium features such as 24/7 Priority Live Chat Support, a Dedicated Account Manager, White-Label Client Workshops, Done-For-Your-Client A2P Submission, and unlimited client sub-accounts.

If you're on the Syndicate or Accelerator plan and would like to add Unlimited Tech Tasks to your agency support stack, you can upgrade to the Intensive Plan at any time from your billing portal.

Tech Tasks vs. Marketing Projects

Beyond quick tech tasks, some agencies also want us to take on bigger pieces of work — full build-outs, full systems, full launches. These are what we call marketing projects, and they are a separate offering from the Unlimited Tech Task benefit.

It's worth understanding the difference so you know what to expect when you bring us a larger request.

What Is a Marketing Project?

A marketing project is a larger, outcome-focused engagement where we're building something for you — typically a complete system made up of multiple connected pieces working together to drive a specific result. Projects can take anywhere from a full day of work to several weeks, depending on the scope. They are handled by a dedicated project team (separate from our tech support team) and go through a proper scoping and intake process so expectations, deliverables, and timelines are clear up front.

A simple way to think about the difference: a tech task is an action, while a project is an outcome.

  • "Update my domain on this funnel" → action → tech task

  • "Build me a new lead-gen funnel for my chiropractor client" → outcome → project

  • "Publish my workflow" → action → tech task

  • "Build me a 60-day nurture sequence for new leads" → outcome → project

  • "Move this contact to the next pipeline stage" → action → tech task

  • "Architect my entire sales pipeline with automations and reporting" → outcome → project

If we can log in and just do it in under 10 minutes, it's a tech task. If we need to think, plan, and build before we can deliver, it's a project.

Marketing projects are not included in the Syndicate, Accelerator, or Intensive plans. Your subscription covers tech support, onboarding, and the other benefits specific to your plan — but project work is scoped, quoted, and billed separately as an additional fee on top of your monthly subscription.

This is intentional. Projects involve planning, design, multiple build steps, testing, and dedicated team coordination. Pricing them into a flat subscription would either dilute the quality of the build-outs or raise the cost of the plans for members who don't need them. By keeping projects separate, you only pay for build-out work when you actually need it — and when you do, you get a dedicated team focused on delivering the outcome.
